No stick, no box, no extra HDMI lead. If your television runs Tizen or webOS, the app comes straight out of its own store.
Non-Android televisions are usually the awkward ones. Their operating systems are closed, so most IPTV applications never make it onto them and owners end up buying a streaming stick they did not want. IBO Player is one of the few players published for both Samsung Tizen and LG webOS, which means the whole job takes about ten minutes and involves no side-loading whatsoever.
Anything from roughly 2018 onwards should be fine. Older panels sometimes run an app-store version that no longer receives submissions; if the search comes up empty, a cheap streaming stick and our Fire TV walkthrough is the fallback.
On LG, press the Home button and open the LG Content Store. On Samsung, press Home and open Apps. Both live on the main launcher bar.
Click the magnifier icon in the top-right corner and type IBO Player using the on-screen keyboard.
Several applications with similar names will appear. You want the one titled simply Ibo Player. The lookalikes are unrelated products and will not accept a Tivitron line.
Select Install, wait for the progress bar, then choose Launch. A welcome message appears the first time explaining the activation model.
Typing a long streaming URL with a television remote would be miserable, which is precisely why IBO Player does not ask you to. Credentials go onto the IBO portal from a phone or laptop instead.
A handful of factory defaults get blamed on the stream when they are nothing of the sort.
| Symptom | Usual cause and fix |
|---|---|
| The app is not in the store | The panel predates the submission, or the store is set to a different region. Check the television's region setting, then consider a streaming stick. |
| App installs but shows nothing | The playlist was saved against a different MAC address. Compare Device Info against the portal entry character by character. |
| Channels load slowly on start-up | Normal on a television processor. Enable auto boot so the app warms up when the set does. |
| Picture softens during fast action | Motion interpolation, not bandwidth. Turn off TruMotion or Auto Motion Plus. |
| Sound but no picture on one channel | Change the Live TV player decoder in IBO Player settings, then tell support if it persists. |
